Art Workshops with NDIS Support

News    >

Assured recently held an art workshop for clients to celebrate International Day of People with Disability facilitated by talented support worker and local artist, Solomon Somakumar.

The workshop was well received, with participants working on a series of individual projects with guided help and support from Solomon. Ensuring a small group meant that participants were very engaged throughout and were able to explore a variety of medium and techniques in a [relatively] calm environment.

Solomon is a well-regarded Adelaide artist and musician who has taken part in many art shows and exhibitions and community events. He works mainly in large scale acrylics on canvas, as well as undertaking public art and murals. Look out for Solomon’s commissioned work on the pillar of Tram Stop 6 on the Southern metro line.

With the success of our first workshop, Assured Care Solutions plans to run a series of similar client art sessions in the New Year.
